Dr. Ana María Gutiérrez Montes has a degree and a European doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Murcia. Her main research activity, during the 13 years of experience since obtaining her doctorate, has focused on two main fields, the development and optimization of tests for the quantification of proteins, and the identification of new biomarkers of health and well-being in animals.

She has been a full professor in the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Murcia since 2018 and has led the BioVetMed & Sport Sci research group since 2017 (biovetmed.com).

She has published more than 40 articles in highly prestigious international journals and has an h-index of 16.

She has led different research contracts with companies such as Cargill or Biozyme and with foreign universities such as Helsinky or Vienna.

In addition, he has participated in a total of 6 regional, national and international research projects.

Also interested in the applied science and thus participates in joint projects with companies for the design of reagents for veterinary clinical chemistry.

The main techniques used in research are enzymatic and immunological assays as well as proteomics and metabolomics for the search for biomarkers.

Author of 106 research articles. PI or participant in 17 research projects. Supervisor of 17 Doctoral Theses and 26 Final Master Projects.

He is part of the veterinary team of the company CEFU, S.A. developing its activity in the R&D area, being responsible for quality, and responsible for the homologation in the different certifications in the field of animal welfare and food safety.

Always linked to the university, for more than 15 years he has been an active part of several research groups, collaborating on different projects, designing field tests, writing articles, etc.

Carlos Piñeiro

Dr. Carlos Piñeiro is a Veterinarian, with a PhD from the University of Meiji-Tokyo and Diplomate from the European College of Swine Veterinarians.

He has been the director of PigCHAMP Pro Europe since its creation in 2000, and is the main person in charge of developing the strategy for the implementation of information management systems in livestock and related services, as well as applied research services.

In addition, it promotes the internationalization of the company and its positioning, being a relevant actor among the Academy, the Administration and the rest of the companies in the sector.

Matilde Piñeiro

Matilde Piñeiro has a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Zaragoza, where she began her professional activity as a researcher in the Biochemistry Department.

She later became part of the R&D department of the pigCHAMP Pro Europa company, where she acted as technical director of the diagnostics area, and worked as a researcher and in the coordination of different national and European R&D projects.

She is currently the R&D Director of the company Acuvet Biotech.

She has extensive experience in research on the applications of acute phase proteins as biomarkers of animal health and welfare, mainly in pigs. With extensive experience in the development and validation of immunochemical techniques, he has led the development of novel commercial tests for the quantification of acute phase proteins in different species, mainly pigs, cattle and dogs.

She has worked on 10 research projects (3 European and 7 national), two of them as principal investigator.

The research activity and the work carried out are directed from the beginnings of visual studies to the construction of the image in the creative space and the aesthetic experience. It is oriented from the sphere of temporality towards new artistic architectures, both theoretical and production, on the intervention of time as a builder of the image in aesthetic reception. Theoretical contributions such as artistic productions have been interventions based on participation and the construction of new singular temporalities that define and extend interpretative discourses between the aesthetics of the visual and the creative germ of the artist.

Jorge Sánchez Hernández is graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Murcia in 2002.

He has been a veterinary professional specializing in pig farming since November 2002 at CEFU, S.A., a pig farming company belonging to the Fuertes group.

The lines of research in the company have been animal welfare, swine pathology, R+D+I, pig production, disease eradication, piglets, baits, feed, improvement of facilities, growth tests, Iberian pig.

Since the 2017/2018 academic year, he has been a student of the Official Doctoral Program in Veterinary Sciences belonging to the Doctoral School of the University of Murcia. In this period, he has published 3 scientific research articles in the line of veterinary medicine research.

In addition, he has presented several communications at international scientifi cconferences.
